Admission

With a Master of Business Administration from Oakland University’s School of Business Administration, you will receive a well-rounded education from leading professors and researchers in their fields and learn with fellow students from diverse business and personal backgrounds.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited undergraduate institution is required for admission to the MBA program.

GMAT Policy

There is no need to request a GMAT waiver from the Graduate Admissions Office. Once your application is reviewed and determined to have met one of the below criteria for test waiver consideration, the application will be pulled and reviewed for an admission decision. If the application is reviewed and an applicant is determined to need a GMAT for admission into the graduate program, a member of the Graduate Business Programs Office staff will provide feedback on the application indicating so.

Once your application is reviewed, if it is determined that you don't qualify for a waiver, we will contact you to request that you submit a GMAT score.

To be considered for a GMAT waiver for admission into a graduate business degree program (MBA, Online-MBA, MSITM, MSBA, MSF, MAcc), you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Earned a master’s degree or higher degree
  • GPA of 2.75 or higher with at least three years of relevant professional experience that shows increased responsibility
  • Earned a bachelor’s degree with an overall GPA of at least 3.0 from an AACSB-accredited business school
  • Earned a bachelor’s degree in any major with an overall GPA of at least 3.2 from a regionally accredited program
