Oakland University alumni, students, faculty, staff and supporters are encouraged to “Shine a Light on OU” during Black and Gold Giving Day on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
The event plays a critical role in OU’s success by inviting the entire OU community to support student scholarships, academic programs, research and campus initiatives.
The Oakland University Credit Union, the lead sponsor of Black and Gold Giving Day, has generously provided $75,000 in matching funds, meaning that donors have the opportunity to increase the impact of their gifts.
“Black and Gold Giving Day is the single most exciting day of the year to make a gift and get engaged at Oakland University. There are digital and in-person opportunities for the entire OU family – alumni, faculty, staff, students, and the broader community – to get involved, make a gift, and show your Golden Grizzly pride,” shared Assistant Director of Annual Giving Kristin Rohrbeck. “I am especially excited to turn campus black and gold by wearing our favorite OU gear on March 6th!”
OU community members can sign up as Ambassadors to encourage digital engagement and boost awareness of what they care about most at Oakland University.
OU will host several events in honor of Black and Gold Giving Day:
