Alpha Sigma Tau’s Delta Tau Chapter at Oakland University was recently recognized by the National Organization for demonstrating excellence within the 2022-2024 biennium. Awards were announced at Alpha Sigma Tau’s 45th National Convention, which was held June 20-23 in Portsmouth/Norfolk, Va.
The Delta Tau Chapter was recognized with the Chapter Branding: Marketing & Communications Award and the Elizabeth Wilson Operational Excellence Award.
The Chapter Branding: Marketing & Communications Award is presented to chapters exhibiting the best use of social media, website content, and additional marketing mediums to promote their chapter and the Sorority experience. The Elizabeth Wilson Operational Excellence Award is presented to chapters demonstrating a commitment to chapter management and outstanding operational performance.
"We are beyond grateful and honored to have received these awards in recognition of our use of marketing and communications, and in chapter operations and management," said Chapter President Carlina Galli. "Our sisters' dedication and hard work are truly inspiring. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for Alpha Sigma Tau."
Additionally, Delta Tau Chapter alumna Katie VanGorder won the Lois Schweikart O'Dell Anchor Award, which honors an outstanding alumna who has been dedicated and given faithful service to her alumnae chapter for a minimum of five years.
Galli and Vice President of Community Relations Evelyn Shelton were present to accept the award. Chapter Advisor Lisa-Marie Cox Fredericks was also in attendance.
