Stephanie J. Lee joined the Academic Affairs office in September 2002 as the Assistant to the Provost. Previously working at Oakland University in the Registrars office and most recently working in the School of Business Administration as the MBA Site Administrator and Assessment Assistant.

In her role as Administrative Associate, Dr. Lee provides counsel and management support to the Provost and is responsible for leading or coordinating a variety of matters within the office of the Provost, with other campus units, with the Office of the President, and the Board of Trustees. Stephanie facilitates resolution of matters requiring the Provost’s attention; arranges for presentation and talking points for the Provost on a variety of topics; ensures information flow to and from the Provost office. She helps implement strategic initiatives to advance the Provost’s vision and monitors progress in achieving Provost-inspired initiatives.

Stephanie supervises coordination of special events, workshops, dinners, annual state of Academic Affairs address; works with representatives from Communication and Marketing to insure appropriate public relations image. She reviews incoming correspondences with the Executive Secretary and delegates to appropriate individuals or responds as required. Stephanie develops PowerPoint presentations to support Provost presentations; develops support documentation for Academic Council, Deans Council, Chairs group and other internal and external population; identifies and proposes agendum items for the various committees chaired by the Provost, manages Academic Affairs Event Calendar; works with the Executive Secretary to identify events which the Provost should attend. She supervises coordination of the University Commencement ceremonies held twice a year; coordinates Academic Affairs agendum for the Board of Trustees including reviewing documents for compliance to Board standards; serves as the recording secretary for the Dean Council, Academic Council and Chairs Council; serves as Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs representative for Administrative Council; coordinates the Academic Affairs website and divisional weekly announcements. Stephanie provides guidance to the Provost’s Executive Assistant Team, ensuring optimal and synergistic support of the Provost.

Dr. Lee received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Oakland, a Masters of Arts degree in Education from Central Michigan University, a Post-Master Certificate in Higher Education and her Doctor of Education from Oakland.
