Career and Life Design Center
Visit the Career and Life Design Center for customized tools, programming and resources that meet you where you are today.
At the Oakland University Career and Life Design Center, we empower students and alumni to explore their strengths, discover meaningful opportunities and connect with a community that supports their growth. As the first and only career center of its kind among Michigan’s public universities, we meet our Golden Grizzlies where they are and help them design a path forward.
We encourage our students to explore their options as early as their first year, make informed choices, and pursue opportunities that align with their personal goals and real-world market needs through a “Life Design” approach that champions curiosity, experimentation and reflective decision-making via:
- Career Exploration
- Drop-In Resume Help and Professional Headshots
- Jobs and Internships on Handshake
- Workshops, Career Fairs and Employer Connections
- Interview Preparation
- LinkedIn and Professional Profile Development
- Lifelong Career Support
The Career and Life Design Center provides lifelong support and strong employer connections that turn curiosity into confident action.
