Muchmore Presidential History Collection

The Muchmore Presidential History Collection includes 275 volumes about U.S. presidents and by presidents, as well as other materials related to a president’s time in office.

The collection is made possible by a generous donation to the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) by Oakland Board of Trustee member Dennis Muchmore.

Muchmore accumulated each of these volumes over many years of collecting, some by seeking particular books or authors, or others by stumbling upon rare volumes in surprising locations. Muchmore built an incredible collection of books focused on U.S. presidential history, which we are proud to have at Oakland University.

CCE is beyond grateful to Trustee Muchmore for his gift, which will allow students, faculty, staff and members of the public access to these great works.

If you are interested in examining the collection, contact the Director of the Center for Civic Engagement, Dave Dulio via email at [email protected].
