The department of Human Development and Child Studies offers early childhood education programs at the undergraduate and graduate level. 

Undergraduate students working on a bachelor’s degree in elementary education have the option to also include coursework for the ZS (early childhood general and special education) teaching endorsement.

Undergraduate Programs:

• B.S. in Early Childhood Education

Graduate students have the following options:

• ZS endorsement
• M.Ed. in early childhood education without ZS endorsement
• M.Ed. in early childhood education with ZS endorsement
• Ph.D. in early childhood education

Oakland University is now partnering with the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Michigan scholarship program to provide tuition assistance to eligible students pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education or related major at Oakland University.
