Dr. Thomas-Powell is the Director of Academic Advising who has over 17 years in our advising office. Prior to becoming the Director, April worked with both Basic pre-nursing students, as well as the Accelerated Second Degree students. She has been instrumental with development and implementation of the holistic admissions process and is involved in multiple University committees.
This past spring April earned a PhD in Educational Leadership at Oakland University with a research focus on transfer students.
