Dr. Szufang Chuang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership. She holds a Ph.D. in human resource education, an Ed.S. in industrial education, a M.S. in human resource development, and a B.S. in technology management. She is a certified human resource professional, hospitality supervisor, and hospitality trainer and has worked in different human resources management and leadership positions in higher education settings. She is professionally affiliated with the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD), the Association for Talent Development (ATD), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She regularly serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Human Resource Development Quarterly, Human Resource Development International, Performance Improvement Quarterly, and Career Development International), international conferences (e.g., AHRD International Research Conference in the Americas), and book publishers (e.g., McGraw Hill Education, Tylor & Francis Group, Emerald). Other professional services include international conference track chair editor, international conference symposium chair, and journal editorial review board member. She received a Faculty Distinguished Service Award in 2024 and an Excellence of Teaching Award in 2011 from her previous institutions. She was a two-time recipient of the Cutting Edge Award in 2016 and 2018 from the AHRD International Research Conference in the Americas. She has maintained an active research agenda and published research findings in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and international conference proceedings using quantitative and qualitative research methods.
