Outreach and Education

The Counseling Center staff is available to present educational and interactive programs and workshops on a variety of mental health topics. Our interactive programs are designed to raise awareness in regard to mental health as well as educate audiences about coping skills and other wellness behaviors. We welcome requests to present to classes, clubs, teams, residence halls and other student organizations.

While we attempt to offer a comprehensive list of outreach topics, we recognize that individuals or groups may be interested in areas which are not listed above. The staff at the Counseling Center will work to accommodate your needs in developing a program for your organization or group.

How to request a topic

To request an outreach program, please call the Counseling Center at (248) 370-3465. Be prepared with your topic choice, group type and size, and the date, time, and location of your event. We suggest that requests be made at least four weeks prior to your scheduled event. Given sufficient time and staff availability, we will be happy to meet your request.
