OUPSA - OUWB
OUPSA co-sponsors the OUWB Future Physicians Summer Enrichment Program. This is a one and a half week program that provides exposure to biomedical sciences, human anatomy and careers in the field of medicine. To date, 10 students from OUPSA Public School Academies have participated.
School of Engineering and Computer Science – STEM
OUPSA partners with the School of Engineering to increase student interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). For one day, students are engaged in a series of hands-on experiences designed to help them explore their STEM interests.
Music | Theatre | Dance
OUPSA academy students participate in an artistic and cultural experience when they attend the OU Department of Music, Theatre and Dance’s annual performance. Past productions include, Freckleface Strawberry, Pinkalicious the Musical, and The Adventures of Pinocchio.
Pre-College Programs – College Visits
This program is designed to expose OUPSA K-8 students to “college life” through an all-day campus visit or University housing overnight visit. Activities include career explorations, campus tours, social and recreational activities.
Clinton River Water Festival
It is all about water! OUPSA 5th grade students visit campus to participate in this event designed to teach students about the importance of water. Topics include erosion, wetlands, and sources of pollution.
Meadow Brook Hall Tour
OUPSA students, parents, teachers and staff express sheer delight after touring the National Historic Landmark, Meadow Brook Hall. Home to Oakland University’s founder, Matilda Dodge Wilson, it is considered one of America’s finest residences.
