Doctor of Philosophy in Human Movement Science
The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in the Department of Human Movement Science is an academic doctorate to prepare leaders, educators and researchers. This degree is designed for physical therapists, exercise science and movement science professionals interested in obtaining the knowledge and skills to produce relevant research in human movement science. The program includes a dissertation research project under the guidance of a doctoral committee.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of postsecondary teachers is projected to grow 8% from 2022 to 2032, faster than the average for all occupations. Projected employment growth varies by academic field.
