Guidance for Staff

Oakland University's approach to GenAI is holistic, connecting essential governance with actionable training. The responsible integration of GenAI into university activities is grounded in our existing institutional structure, supported by UTS Policies and Guidelines, including those governing Data Management, which ensure clear expectations and safeguard university data.

To translate these policies into daily practice, the university offers a network of specialized training and resource hubs across campus, such as CETL, e-LIS and the Libraries. These centers provide the practical guidance, workshops and support necessary for every member of the community to engage with GenAI responsibly and effectively in alignment with the binding institutional framework.
