An image of Anna Kochanowska-KaramyanDr. Karamyan joined Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in September 2024 as an Associate Professor of Pharmacology. She provides instruction in Pharmacology throughout the curriculum.

Dr. Karamyan received her Master of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of Lublin, Poland, and her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Mississippi. Prior to joining OUWB, Dr. Karamyan was a faculty member at the School of Pharmacy, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center for 12 years and taught multiple courses in the professional pharmacy curriculum. Throughout her career, Dr. Karamyan has received multiple teaching awards from students and faculty peers, recognizing her dedication to academic excellence, innovative teaching methods, and passion for fostering student growth.  Her primary scholastic interests are currently focused on effective assessment strategies in healthcare education.
