Dr. Mandalaneni joins OUWB with many years of experience in medical education, with a particular emphasis in neuroscience education. He previously taught neuroscience at St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies, and took on various teaching and leadership roles.

Dr. Mandalaneni received his medical degree from India and further trained in stroke medicine in Austria. He is a licensed medical practitioner in Grenada and continues to engage in many health projects in the Eastern Caribbean.

Throughout his career, Dr. Mandalaneni has had the opportunity to teach and share his passion for neuroscience and neurology with thousands of medical students, many of whom have become prominent healthcare leaders in the United States and internationally.

The crux of Dr. Mandalaneni's work centers around issues related to equity in medical education and healthcare in various settings, particularly in the Caribbean. His academic and clinical work showcased healthcare disparities in resource-poor environments and the possible ingenious ways to address them. He is an integral part of the Grenada Heart Foundation, an NGO based in Grenada that continues to provide subspecialty care of pediatric cardiology in the islands.

He considers Grenada, the beautiful tri-island nation in the eastern Caribbean, his home. He remains actively involved in numerous health-related projects there. He is also a nominated member of the National Chronic Non-Communicable Disease Commission (NCNCDC), which advises the Minister of Health, Grenada, on NCD-related policies and legislation.

In his new role at OUWB, Dr. Mandalaneni is eager to leverage his extensive experience in course administration and neuroscience education to contribute to the curriculum and help shape future healthcare leaders nationally and globally. With great anticipation, he embraces OUWB, Michigan, and the USA as the new center of his professional and personal life.

Dr. Mandalaneni profoundly appreciates the opportunity to educate students and showcase his skills at OUWB. Most importantly, he is eager to learn from his colleagues' experiences at OUWB and Corewell Health.
