The School of Medicine Help Desk team – Adam Gordon, Dawn Gorris, Fred Haydon and Faye Luman – provides computer hardware, software and audio-visual support for OUWB medical students, faculty, and staff members. The team is located in the Center for Medical Student Services at Suite 216 O’Dowd Hall.

To request IT support, please use one of the following three options. For audio-visual support requests, a ticket should be submitted at least one week prior to the event to ensure coverage.

Adam Gordon Adam Gordon serves as the Help Desk Manager for Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He has been with OU since 2012, beginning his career in Classroom Support and Instructional Technical Services as Manager of IT & Media Application Services, where he worked for thirteen years. Adam is a proud OU alumnus, with a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems |

Dawn Gorris Dawn Gorris serves as a help desk technician for Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dawn came to OU after providing technical support in a K-12 educational environment for ten years. Her experience includes computer hardware and peripheral support, webpage design and maintenance and application support and training. Prior to that Dawn worked as a data processing manager and technical support liaison for Electronic Data Systems and a data processing clerk for Ford Motor Company. |

Fred Haydon Fred Haydon serves as the help desk technician for Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. A Michigan native, Fred is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Technology. Fred comes to OU with 15 years experience as a Data Specialist, Helpdesk Technician and a Macintosh Workstation Manager. |

Faye Luman Faye Luman serves as an Information Technology Support Specialist for Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Faye started her IT career path nearly 10 years ago at Oakland University as a student worker at the OU Help Desk, and after that Classroom Support. Since then, she has continued to focus on her service-driven support roles in higher education as an Operations Coordinator, Information Technology Specialist, and a Service Center Support Specialist. |

Stephen Sklar Stephen Sklar has been with Oakland University since 2010. He began his OU career as the IT Manager for Finance and Administration. In 2022 he transitioned to the System Analyst position for the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Before joining OU Stephen held various IT Management roles at Toyota Motor (TGNA), Medical Financial Solutions, Trico Automotive, and Majestic Underwriters (Standard Security). He earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Michigan. |

David Zhu, M. Eng. David Zhu serves as the Database Administrator for Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. David received his Master of Engineering degree with a major in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University. He has experiences in database administration, system design & analysis, instructional support, application support, reporting service development and server administration, etc. His primary role of services in OUWB School of Medicine involves the design, development, implementation, administration and support of database systems, database warehouses and administrative reporting services. Prior to joining the School of Medicine in November 2010, David has been employed at OU School of Business Administration as Information Technology Analyst since May 2001. |
