International Relations, B.A.
The Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in international relations is a multidisciplinary major, housed in the Department of Political Science, and focuses on global politics, economics, history and philosophy. This major is ideal for students interested in working with a multinational corporation, an international development agency or a government institution such as the Department of State.
Students in the international relations program can take courses from the Political Science Department in topics such as U.S. Foreign Policy, European Political Systems, International Political Economy, and Global Environmental Governance. Students will also take courses from the departments of History, Economics and Philosophy in areas including International Trade, the Arab-Israeli Conflict, and the Philosophy of International Relations.
Students can also take advantage of a number of extra-curricular activities that can only further enhance the skills one will develop as an international relations major.
