Research/Scholarship: 
One of Dr. Jung's research priorities after undergraduate studies was on the pathogenicity of free-living amoebae. Research on pathogenicity includes protein discovery for diagnosis and prevention, drug discovery for infection treatment, etc., and is mainly focused on target-based research. Since 2015, research related to lectins has been conducted. Another research, which contributed to the filing of a patent on the function of ginseng polysaccharide as a single compound, is conducting immunological analysis of polysaccharides from plants and insects.
