David Schubring
David Schubring is an accomplished technology executive with 35 years of expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevOps, and data center management. He currently serves as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at SiteRx, a biotech and healthcare company dedicated to addressing neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s and dementia. In this role, Schubring applies his extensive experience in operations, strategic planning, and leadership to advance innovative solutions for critical healthcare challenges.
Before joining SiteRx, Schubring held the role of Director of AWS West Coast Data Center Regions at Amazon Web Services. He was responsible for the safety, security, availability, scalability, cost management, and efficiency of hyperscale data centers in Seattle, Oregon, San Francisco, Dublin, Montreal, and Los Angeles. His work included leading diverse teams across multiple geographies and overseeing network and server infrastructure, logistics, safety, facilities, and data center operations.
Schubring’s prior experience spans a range of senior roles across industries. At Tyco Retail Solutions, he served as Senior Manager/Senior Architect, designing and deploying advanced software and hardware solutions for global retailers. While at Auxis, he managed infrastructure services supporting Target’s high-availability cellular activation and point-of-sale environments in the cloud. Earlier in his career, Schubring contributed to IT operations and systems management at renowned companies including Autodesk, Incyte Genomics, Roche Pharmaceuticals, United Technologies, and Electronic Data Systems. These roles involved implementing complex IT projects, managing UNIX-based systems, and leading teams in support of CAD/CAM/CAE systems and critical business applications.
Schubring earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration from Oakland University.
