The Division of Student Affairs is comprised of 24 departments that are dedicated to engaging students in an active learning environment that allows for the practical application of knowledge obtained in the classroom. Career and Life Design Center prepares students and alumni to attain lifelong career success as they make career decisions, develop job search strategies, pursue experiential opportunities, and secure employment.

The Dean of Students Office performs a number of university-wide functions that promote and uphold the campus values of civility, personal integrity and academic excellence. The Office of Disability Support Services (DSS) seeks to ensure that all students with disabilities participate fully in university life. We raise awareness in the university community and provide and coordinate services and programs so that students with disabilities can maximize their educational potential.

The Gender and Sexuality Center (GSC) is dedicated to providing services and education on issues of gender and sexuality for the Oakland University community through resources, referrals, programs and advocacy.

The Office for Student Involvement (OSI) encourages student activity, involvement, leadership, and volunteering. OSI provides a forum for students to become active participants in the Oakland University community.
