Shop Hardware and Software

Vendors offer special licenses and prices to students. Be aware of these offerings to ensure that you receive the benefits of being a student at Oakland University.

Standard desktop and laptop computers are acceptable purchases; a computer purchased within the last three years is adequate for most students. Students should select the operating system best suited for their needs:  Windows, Apple, and Linux are all acceptable choices. Computers should have virus protection and spyware protection software installed.

JourneyEd - Sells discounted hardware and software with proof of student status.

Microsoft Imagine - Provides access to developer and designer tools and services, includes Windows Server 2016, SQL Server 2016, Visual Studio 2016, training, and cloud services.

Microsoft Office 365 - Provides access to Office 365 web application and Office Suite downloads for personal devices.

Apple Education Store - Sells hardware and software with academic pricing.

Dell University - Sells hardware and software with academic pricing.

Microsoft Azure - Available only to School of Business and School of Engineering and Computer Science Students

SPSS - IBM SPSS is statistical software for analyzing, reporting, and sharing data.  SPSS and other statistical options are described as software.

Qualtrics - Web based survey software.
