  • State Issued Photo Identification
Dependent Child Policies

A parent or legal guardian, who is a member of the Rec Center, must enter the facility with their children under 18 years old and must accompany their children under 16 years old at all times in the facility.

  • Children 7 years old and younger should be within an arm’s length of their parent or guardian in the same area of the facility.
  • Children 8-15 years old must be supervised by a parent or guardian in the same activity area.
  • Children under 16 years old may not use the spa, fitness center or be present during personal training sessions. (Exception: children who have completed the T.G.I.F. program).
  • Children ages 16-18 must enter the facility with a parent or legal guardian member, but do not need to be accompanied by that individual at all times while using general recreational space. However, the parent or legal guardian must remain in the Rec Center during the child’s visit. These children are able to participate in fitness classes and may swim and use the spa and fitness center.  Note: Children ages 16 and 17 need to be accompanied by an adult when using the fitness center.
  • Young adult members (18-22 years old) will be admitted to the facility upon showing a valid GrizzCard ID or Rec Center issued Key Fob. They may use any aspect of the facility available to other members.

Parents or guardians are expected to be in a position to provide adequate supervision at all times.

Unsafe or inappropriate behavior will result in the child being asked to leave the activity area.

Guest Policy

Rec Center members and eligible self-sponsored guests who are 18 years of age or older may sign in up to two guests per visit at a cost of $15 per day per guest. If members wish to sign in more than two guests per visit, they must notify the Rec Center in advance and receive prior permission from a member of the Rec Well professional staff.

Non-participant entry into the Rec Center for things such as tours does not require the purchase of a guest pass. However, some rental groups may choose the option to allow spectator fees.  When rental groups choose to allow spectator fees, this choice will be put in writing to the group renting facility space. The organization renting and teams participating will be expected to communicate the entry requirements to the participants and spectators within the organization. In all cases some form of ID and sign-in may be necessary.

Guest Passes

Guest passes allow non-members access to the facility either through a self-sponsorship (see self-sponsored guests below) or sponsorship by a current member. Guest passes are sold at the Welcome Center during the time the Rec Center opens until one hour prior to closing.

Self-Sponsored Guests

Self-sponsored guests include: currently enrolled students who have not paid the Rec Center fee, OU faculty, staff, alumni, official OU retirees, MSU Federal Credit Union members and President’s Club members. Proof of these affiliations is required. Once self-sponsored guests pay for their own guest pass, they may sponsor up to two guests per visit at the current guest pass rate.
