Michelle Rau, MLIS
Assistant Professor in the Department of Foundational Medical Studies
Michelle Rau joined Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor and Medical Librarian in June 2023. She brings over fifteen years of experience in education and health sciences libraries.
Michelle received her Masters of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where she specialized in Health Informatics. While at Wayne State, she was awarded the Miriam T. Larson Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Health Sciences. Michelle also served as a Graduate Research Assistant to Dr. Deborah Charbonneau, and co-authored a poster presentation detailing the appropriate approach to synthesizing research evidence. In 2021, Michelle completed an Applied Leadership Program through the University of Windsor.
Michelle is a member of the Medical Library Association (MLA), the Michigan Academic Library Association (MiALA), Michigan Health Sciences Library Association (MHSLA), and the Metropolitan Detroit Medical Library Group (MDMLG).
