CareMED

Caregiver Advocates, Resources, and Education for Medical Students (CareMED) is a student wellness program at OUWB that seeks to:
  • Support students as caregivers by reducing existing barriers to help students navigate current barriers to their learning.
  • Evaluate how OUWB can support students as caregivers.
  • Create safe and active discussion space for medical student caregiver families, spouses, and partners.
  • Advocate student caregivers' concerns to administration.

Amenities on campus

Oakland University's Lowry Center for Early Childhood Education offers early childhood education programming to children from 18 months to five years of age. Lowry Center provides the newest innovative equipment, materials, and practices to cultivate the development of young children. MOre information can be found here.

Lactation rooms are available on campus. More information about where they are located can be found here

Toys can be found in the lounge for children to use while on campus. Students can stop by the lounge at any time to pick up the toys. We ask that toys get sanitized after each use and left on campus, in O'Dowd Hall.
