Peer-to-Peer Academic Assistance

The School of Business Administration is invested in helping its students succeed in the classroom.

Peer-to-Peer academic assistance is available for many of the required accounting, economics, finance, mathematics, and quantitative methods courses. Assistance with Microsoft Office software is available in the Elliott Hall open lab. Business students in good academic standing will be available in Elliott Hall at various times to assist students.

Jessica Duronio
Jessica is a tutor for resumes, especially as they relate to ACHIEVE courses. She is a senior majoring in International Relations with a minor in Political Science and Mandarin Chinese. Jessica is a member of the Honors College, Golden Key International Honour Society, Alpha Lambda Delta, Pi Sigma Alpha and President of China Club. She has completed internships for both The Walt Disney Company and NASA. She plans to pursue a Master degree upon graduation. In her free time, Jessica enjoys tennis and beadwork.

Clare G

Clare Grzegorzewski
Clare is a tutor for ECN 2010 and ECN 2020. She is a senior majoring in Management Information Systems. This past summer she completed an internship with KPMG LLP and will be assuming a full-time position with the firm upon graduation. In her free time she enjoys playing golf and reading. Her favorite singer is John Mayer and her favorite movie is Pulp Fiction.

Cassandra Harms
Cassandra is a tutor for ACC 2000, ACC 2100, ECN 2010, ECN 2020, MTH 1221, and MTH 1222. She is a Junior pursuing a B.S. in Accounting with a Minor in Music. Her hometown is St. Clair, MI. In addition to being a Peer-to-Peer Assistant, she is a member of the Honors College, OASIS, Business Scholars, Business Ambassadors, and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Back home, she plays saxophone in the East China Community Band and is a member of the St. Clair Lions Club. She plans to work in a Public Accounting firm upon graduating from Oakland. When she is not in classes or studying, her hobbies include quilting, cooking, and gardening.

Avery R

Avery Ragatzki
Avery is a tutor for ACC 2000, ACC 2100, ECN 2010, ECN 2020, QMM 2400, and QMM 2410. She is a junior planning to major in Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She is a member of the Golden Key honor society, Alpha Lambda Delta honor society and treasurer for Financial Management Association. She lives on campus, plans to graduate in May of 2019 and hopes to open her own bakery in the future.

Teach

The School of Business Administration hires students in good academic standing for the school's Teach for the SBA initiative. We are still accepting applications for the Winter 2018 semester from students in good academic standing for the following courses: ACC 3100/3110 and ECN 3030.

As Help Room Associates, students are required to help for a minimum of 5 hours per week at a rate of $50/5 hours. The hours are flexible but the same schedule must be followed every week.
